I will be leading a new course sketching at Harome on 7th May, 10am – 3pm. The course is aimed at all abilities, in fact anyone who just enjoys observing and drawing their surroundings. The emphasis will be on enjoying using a sketchbook with pencil and watercolour. A range of pencils(or pen) 2b or softer, some basic watercolours( and something to carry water in) and a sketchbook will be all you need. For more information and booking click Pheasant Hotel. The course is £55 including coffee on arrival 2 course Pheasant Hotel set meal with a glass of wine.
In addition during the evening I will be leading a walk around the village and surrounding farmland looking in particular for migrant birds. There will be the opportunity to learn identification of birds by sight, call and song and we hope to encounter newly arrived summer visitors such as whitethroat, chiffchaff, willow warbler and swifts, swallows and martins. Little owls and kingfisher might be seen but of course anything could turn up on the day. This walk, including fizz and nibbles at the Pheasant afterwards will start at 6.30pm and finish at about 8.30pm.
